Victorian Beach Soccer Selection

Its the right time to get involved in this truly and wonderful new sport that is going to sweep the country. Lifestyle beach sports will be holding the biggest beach soccer carnival ever seen here in Victoria and are proud to announce that with the up and coming tournament in February, there will be a selection of 13 players from the tournament that will be chosen to represent Victoria in a National competion later on in the year to play along against NSW, Queensland etc.

There are talks with the Queensland beach soccer federation that there may be a small tournament before the Beach Socer World Cup so Alex Tobin can pick a strong squad to go to Rio in Brazil.

This announcement is great news for beach soccer as we will surely see a surge in participation in the following years and hopefully start to get results in these world cup tournaments.

Lifestyle Beach Sports and the FFV have combined to form a strong relationship and want to see the sport grow in Victoria. The announcement of Davide Iacovitti as coach of the Victorian Beach soccer team is a great appointment as he will bring his youthfulness to the team and will give the players roles to express their talent on the sand. Davide says " I will let the guys use their flair as much as possible along with a discipline blend which will give the squad a really good balance. We have got a lot of good Victorian talent and cant wait to see them display their stuff at this tournament in February"

LBS will be holding this tournament annually and it will over the years become a great part of Victoria's sporting calendar.
